  • Juno Health is thrilled to announce we will be merging with Mairehau Medical Centre to enhance our modern family healthcare services. We are excited to welcome their trusted team to our clinic as we unite to better serve the community.

As we finalise this process, we are sharing some key information with you.

Why are the two practices merging?

    The merger allows us to:

    • Strengthen our medical team and provide personalised care.

    • Improve access to appointments with GPs you know and trust.

    • Provide sub-specialty care within your family practice.

    • Provide more continuity of care for patients.

    • Ensure we can continue to operate under an owner-operator model.

    Will the clinic name change?

The practice will be called Juno Health ongoing, encompassing the Mairehau medical team.

Dr Catherine Smart and Dr Megan Pow continue as owners and welcome Dr Mark Sycamore and Dr Jim Galvin as business partners.

Will this be a corporate entity?

No. We will remain under an owner-operated business model.

When will the merger take place?

The merger is effective from Monday, 2nd February 2026.

Will my doctor still be my regular GP?

Yes. You can remain enrolled under your regular GP.  We encourage patients to have one main doctor for continuity of care. However, you can also see any of our other doctors for more urgent or specialised appointments.

Will the location of my appointments be different?

    Mairehau Medical staff will be moving out of their current premises and in with Juno Health.  To accommodate, we will be operating from two sites;

    1) 189 Cranford St, St Albans

    2) 241 Clyde Rd, Bryndwr (shared premises with Juno Women’s Health)

We have tried to integrate the team across both sites.  While you will see familiar faces at both locations, some doctors rotate between sites with others based at just one -please let us know if you have transport difficulties or if you prefer to be seen at a specific site so we can assist.

We appreciate this may be challenging however, this is a temporary arrangement until the new clinic is complete.

Is Juno Health building a new clinic?

Yes.  In February we will start the construction of a brand-new, purpose-built facility located at 399 Innes Road.  We plan to move in by December 2026.

The new facility will feature expanded clinical space, modern consulting rooms, and improved patient amenities but again, will not be ready until December 2026.

How will I know where my appointment will be?

The receptionist will inform you at the time of the booking.  In addition, you will continue to receive TXT reminders indicating the location of your appointment - please read these carefully.

How do I book an appointment?

Exactly how you do now; calling the same number (03-355-9657) OR logging in to your MyIndici account to book online.

Note:  unless we have contacted you directly, there is no change to your appointment if already scheduled.

Will the current reception and nursing staff change?

You'll see the existing teams across both sites in addition to new nursing and administration team members.

Who can I approach with further questions?

Please feel free to speak with reception, your GP or practice management.

Although we are working towards & are hopeful for a successful transition, we appreciate this could feel overwhelming.  The Juno team are here to help, answer questions or explain the process further; please feel free to reach out at your discretion.

In the meantime, we thank you for your support and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.
