There’s a reason we chose the image of a butterfly to represent Juno Health. It’s a symbol not only of beauty and strength, but also of change and transformation.

Which is something all women can relate to!

From puberty through menopause and beyond, women have a unique set of health challenges. As females, mothers and daughters ourselves, we not only understand that journey, but also recognise that the modern practice model doesn’t always meet the needs of busy women both young and old.

We’re in it together

Juno Health is a place where women and their whanau can seek specialist advice for everything from puberty and pregnancy to sexual health, menopause and ongoing breast and bone health.

We’re here for ALL women, whatever age and stage of life you’re at and however you identify yourself.

Here for all women

A Sister Clinic to Juno Health

It's an exciting time for women's healthcare in Christchurch! We're thrilled to announce that Juno Women's Health opened its doors on the 14th of July!

Juno Women's Health was founded on a powerful belief: that comprehensive women's healthcare should be accessible, community-based, and truly collaborative. We recognised the need for innovative healthcare delivery and a model fit for purpose. Our mission is to create a dedicated community hub for women's healthcare across all generations, bridging existing gaps between primary and specialist care in New Zealand.

What does this mean for patients enrolled with Juno Health?

Juno Women's Health functions as a specialised satellite clinic to Juno Health operating by appointment only. While Juno Health remains the primary hub for comprehensive general practice services, Juno Women's Health offers a crucial extension of this care, with Dr. Catherine Smart being the sole doctor from Juno Health working across both clinics. This means that standard GP appointments will also be held at Juno Women's Health. To ensure you always know exactly where to go for your care, we'll clearly notify you if your appointment is specifically at Juno Women's Health instead of Juno Health.

What does this mean for private patients?

Even if you’re not enrolled as a patient at Juno Health, you can still come to us for Women’s Health consultations and specialist procedures. For more information please visit the Juno Women’s Health website here.
